Tesla Rotating Referral LinkWhy Some Referral Codes Stop Working
Tesla referral links are not unlimited. Once a referrer reaches Tesla’s referral cap, their link may stop applying benefits — often without warning.
This page explains how a rotating referral system helps prevent that.
Instead of relying on a single static referral code, ReferATesla.ca routes buyers to an active referral link from our pool, reducing the risk of landing on one that's already capped out.
Why Tesla Referral Links Fail
High demand, capped referrals, and promotional surges cause many shared referral links to stop applying benefits at checkout.
Tesla caps each owner at 10 order referrals a year, and the link keeps loading after the cap is hit. Our Tesla referral code FAQ and the guide to the current Tesla referral program explain what a working link should show before you pay the order fee.
U.S. buyers, Oct 30, 2026: U.S. Tesla referral links now offer only $400 off Solar Panels and Powerwall. The vehicle benefits (3 months of FSD, $250 in referrer credits) are no longer offered in the U.S., so a vehicle order opened from a link earns nothing unless a referral line appears in the order summary. Canada is unchanged. U.S. owners who subscribe to FSD now have a separate FSD referral program.
